Me to We Indoor Fair on Tuesday!

Important Information and Dates:
Math Stations have been switched this week to daily math work. Students were given a sheet with work for each day this week (including Thursday and Friday, to complete at home). They are to complete their work on a separate piece of lined paper, and keep it in their math duotangs until the entire week has been completed. This work focuses on skills, as well as some problem solving and critical thinking. Students are expected to complete their daily work at home if they do not complete it during the work period.

Me to We Indoor Fair is tomorrow!

Thursday and Friday are PD Days, so there is no school. Next Monday is also Family Day.

Classroom Learning
We have started a new unit in science on Electricity and Magnetism, and had a short introduction lesson today! Ask your child to describe the terms conductor, insulator, and resistor. Ask them to describe to you what a circuit is  and the difference between an open and closed circuits.

Today we had a police constable come into the classroom and visit with us for an hour. He talked to us about the different aspects of his job, and what tools he needed to do his job safely and effectively. He also discussed with the class on how to deal with emotions, and how emotions can impact our decision making. This was very exciting for the class, as they were able to make many connections to our recent unit on Evidence and our field trip to the Youth Link Centre!
